[Last Week] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Next Week]

We had a nice day at the Dogfest. We did not make a lot of money but talked to a lot of nice people and enjoyed seeing all the dogs. A lot of our volunteers also run with the Greensboro TDS flyball team. They did the flyball and Frisbee demonstrations.

The race was on last night so I have all day today to work. I have lots of things to work on. Many thanks to Marcia Bilbrey for critiquing my new web pages. I need to read through her suggestions and make changes.

I worked all day in the yard on Friday and did not finish. I trimmed down bushes that had gotten way too big, weeded and mulched the front garden by the road, mowed, and cleaned the outdoor trash cans. About 3:00 I finally gave out and quite for the day.

I still need to week the rose bed, move some landscape timbers, and some other minor stuff. It is also house cleaning and laundry day.

Guess I better get started.

[Last Week] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Next Week]

I think we have babies - birds that is. I can't tell if mom dove has one or two in the nest, but I am pretty sure she little ones in there. I guess we will not know until they start bringing them food.

After I cleaned house yesterday, I spent most of the day working on my web site, paying bills, and reading web sites.

Off to the gym this morning followed by a few errands. I may finish some of that yard work this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a good start to their week.

[Last Week] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Next Week]

We are taking the cars out to be serviced this morning.  I am getting the new tires from the white truck and the blue truck needs the oil changed.

I am going to finish my yard work this morning when we get back.

Not much going on otherwise.

[Last Week] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Next Week]

This morning I watched one of the adults feed the baby birds. My neighbor has seen both parents taking turns on the nest feeding and keeping them warm. As I posted earlier, the nest is on the window ledge right outside my office window. This is the high side of the house and is almost level with the neighbor's side porch. They watch from their kitchen.

The location of the nest makes the angle hard to get a good picture from in the house. I took a few from the neighbor's porch but our scanner is not working right now to scan them in.

Busy day today. Gym, store, errands, work and library/dinner this evening.

I did manage to get most of my outdoor projects finished yesterday. One of my errands this morning is to get the flowers for my pots and beds. I pulled all the pansies out and need to plant my summer stuff.

[Last Week] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Next Week]

It has been a busy week. I cleaned out the gutters on the front of the house yesterday. We had small oak trees growing up there. I did that instead of going to the gym because it looked like it was going to rain. If it had, the water would have run off the roof and into the basement. Turns out it did not rain but the oak trees needed to come down anyway.

I stopped at the garden store and picked up my bedding plants and a special Mother's Day project I am constructing. More later on that. Last stop was the grocery store and then home.

Bob informed me our Internet connection was down. Since I could not work in the house I worked outside. I tried to fix my new hose connection TWICE. It still leaks. Guess I will have to go buy a different size or something. Then I planted flowers and cleaned up all the gunk up around the bushes that came out of the gutters.

After I showered we headed out to pick up my car from the mechanics. I finally got my new tires back and we had to put on the new studs like we did on the white car. Also had the oil changed and fluids checked. I stopped by the farm and garden store out there and ordered 12 bales of pine needles to be delivered today. Guess what I will doing tomorrow?

Came back home and picked up Bob for our library/dinner outing. Then back home and worked for several hours since our Internet connection was stable again.

I am home this morning and then off to the library this afternoon. I will do my volunteering and stay for the Friends of the Library Board meeting. After dinner (heated up leftovers) I am heading over to Laura's to help her pack some stuff for their move back to Florida,

Whew, been a busy week and it is only Thursday.

[Last Week] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Next Week]

FedEx delivered a rough draft copy of our book yesterday. It is now in tech review. I guess that means we are getting closer to having it finalized and published.

I am taking the dogs with me on a home visit this morning. I have to drive down to Denton, NC to visit a lady on a farm looking for a working dog.

This afternoon I need to put out my pine needles and finish planting flowers.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
