[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

Yes, I am back from a wonderful week in Ogunquit, Maine.

We had a wonderful time arriving back home last night around 9 pm. By the time I drove back to Winston, dropped off mom and dad at home and drove across town in was almost 11 by the time I got home. Everyone seemed very excited to see me meaning both dogs and Bob so I assume I was missed.

After catching up on the latest news from Bob while playing ball with the dogs we finally got to bed around midnight.

Today I will get things caught up the most important being getting the grass mowed. We had about an inch of rain while I was gone which translates into very high grass unlike the week previous while we were gone to the Bilbrey's. With tropical storm Arlene south and west of us coming up from the Gulf I may be forced to mow it wet.

In between catching up on mail I will unpack, go through the last week newspapers and the snail mail. This afternoon I need to drop off my two rolls of film, hit the grocery store, and drugstore.

I took a lot of good pictures with the digital camera and will get those sorted and processed for your viewing pleasure along with an outline of our trip.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

I am getting things caught up little by little. Yesterday after I mowed the lawn Bob helped me do the summer maintenance on the mower; cleaning the air filter, changing the oil, etc. Today, we need to put on the mulching blade and take off the catching blade for the summer.

This morning I have finished the house cleaning after first giving Bob a haircut. We are also doing the laundry today. Bob did it last Wednesday so I would have clean cloths for my trip.

While I was away on vacation Bob upgraded my PC which included giving me new mail software. That requires importing all my old mail plus setting up new rules, etc. The new mail looks somewhat different from my old one but with time I will get used to it. I will spend this afternoon working on all that stuff.

In addition to processing the pictures from the trip I also want to add some of the pictures Brian took of the dogs while we were up visiting them, to my Border Collie page.

The weather continues to be hot and humid.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

Despite cloudy skies and a couple of brief showers Dad and I did get in 9 holes of golf this morning. All three of us picked up some kind of cold/sinus condition on the trip so we only played nine. It looked like it was going to rain again so I suggested we stop after nine.

Dad was not feeling all that well Thursday when we left. I came down with it Saturday but felt okay. However, this afternoon I am not feeling all that well. Mom was feeling better today after not feeling all that well yesterday which means it does not last all that long.

Bob put the mulching blade on the mower when I came home. After my shower I started working on getting things caught up on my computer. Bob downloaded my pictures from the trip as well as ripped some more music for my Muvo.

So far it has not rained, at least on our side of town. The sun is out and the humidity is back up.

I still have a lot of odds and ends to catch up on but first I think I will read the paper and watch some of the NASCAR race from Pocono.
