[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

Busy, busy at work. I have projects lined up like planes on a runway. I am really enjoying my new job within the Record Center. I do a lot of special projects, trouble shooting, and helping Steve with the overall running of the department. When something comes up that needs handled it goes on my desk. Never a dull moment to say the least.

I went straight to the gym from work in order to catch the 5:30 Metabolic Workout. After the 30 minute class I did another 15 minutes on one of the cardio machines.

The weather has turned back to being cool but sunny. Today's high was in the mid 70's with lows tonight back down the 50's. Very nice weather indeed.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

Things are still very hectic at work. I took a nice long walk at lunch today. If you were to look up "picture perfect day" in the weather dictionary you would find a picture of today in the Carolinas. Blue sky, no wind, 75 degrees.

I think I shall go outside to site on the front porch and read while enjoying this lovely weather. I finished up the Kate Shugak. Play With Fire is the best one in the series so far. Stabenow did an excellent job with this one. Kate along with her wheel chair bound friend Bobby are camping near a small town while harvesting mushrooms. After a forest fire last year, there seems to be a bumper crop of "srooms" as they call them fetching a good price per bucket. They meet up with a journalist driving the AlCan highway who stops to pick mushrooms after she ran out of money. Of course, Kate finds a dead body in the forest that appears to have been there since the fire. From the nearby town, she meets up with a small boy who asks Kate to find his missing father. Yep, you guessed that part. The dead man is his father. But, the real story unfolds as Kate tries to determine how and why he died. Both funny and sad in parts, you really do need to read this one even if you are not reading the series.

I have now started another Hamish Macbeth, Death of a Traveling Man.
