Lots of errands to run this morning; dropped off a load of cardboard at the fire station that was too big to fit in the cart, went by the shredding event at a nearby church to shred a couple of boxes worth of mom and dad’s papers, went by the garden shop to order three scoops of mulch to be delivered and picked up a bag of bird seed and finally the drug and grocery stores. When I got home the mulch had been delivered. After we unloaded and put away the groceries I checked my mail then went downstairs to get started moving mulch.

Of course, the wheel barrow tire was flat after sitting most of the winter months. When the tire would not take air I thought it was because it had come loose from the rim on one side. Bob helped me remove it from the wheel barrow and off it went to the nearby Firestone place. He said the center valve stem was broken.

Back home, Bob helped me re-install the then I fixed lunch. I spent roughly an hour or so afterward moving and spreading about half the pile of mulch before calling it a day.
