Other than some wind and a few sudden downpours late yesterday afternoon that’s about all we saw of Irene. Fortunately for the coast she came as a Cat. 1 but still did a lot of wind and water damage. Had she come in just a little further west we would have had some of the drenching rains. I saw on Facebook several of my cousins in PA had some wind and rain problems.
I did the usual house cleaning chores this morning before going over to the folks house for a visit and lunch then made a quick drugstore stop on the way home.
It’s a really nice day with clear blue skies and low humidity with high 80’s for temperatures; a good day for grilling some beef ribs to go with pasta salad.
