I had an appointment with one of my orthopedic doctors, Dr. Ritchie, this morning for my right knee. It’s been giving me problems for months but I was too tied up with mom to try to make an appointment. I called yesterday and amazingly was able to get in to see him today. I must have called right after someone else canceled. I see him periodically at the Y and he is always very nice and speaks but I don’t bother him with medical stuff like I imagine a lot of people do when they see doctors out somewhere.
Any way. He actually asked me one day how I was doing with the knees I told him the right was acting up again and he said to come see him. Today made the fourth cortisone shot in this knee. One in 2007 followed by arthroscopic surgery later that year and two more shots since then. The x-ray shows almost bone on bone but I am just not ready go through another replacement at this stage of the game.
Rainy, rainy day. I went to work for about an hour and a half before I left for my appointment. It was not raining too hard when I walked to the car and again when I got back to work. But, we’ve had down pours off and on for about 2 1/2 inches of rain so far with more heavy stuff to come in tonight.
