When mom died Frances and Al rented a second storage unit a couple of doors down from their other one to put all the furniture and stuff into from the apartment. Most of that stuff went into the new addition they just put on their house. At met them at the storage place this morning at 9 to get the table and chair set that I used to have in the dinning room but swapped out for mom’s kitchen table and chairs when they moved into their apartment because it was smaller. Dad brother Edward made that table and chairs in shop class in high school. We loaded it into the Trooper then I helped them go through and box up stuff that needed to go to Goodwill. Frances had one of those large wood/metal outdoor benches over there she wanted to take to their house that I needed to help Al load in the truck.

It took about three hours to get everything organized and cleaned up in the old storage unit and get the few things still in the new one into the old one. Frances and I need to go back over later this fall and sort through all the Christmas and holiday decorations. I also brought a few other things back with me including some paperwork that needs sorted and boxed for a shredding event.

We had Al’s truck loaded down with stuff for Goodwill which he drove over to drop off while Frances and I went on to where we were meeting for lunch. After lunch I followed them home to help unload the bench then headed back across town to pick up a library reserve book and gas up the Trooper.

Then after a brief rest I decided to go ahead and mow the lawn. Although it’s only 84 degrees and an occasional breeze it’s was still hot mowing. Even with all the rain we had last week the surface is dry again creating a lot of dust.
