Last night I picked up two steak Strombolis from Coppolas on the way home. Frances came over for dinner to talk with Bob about spices and cooking with basic ingredients for the book. Frances has a degree in food service and worked in that field for many years before moving on to something else. She brought her notebooks and recipe cards for Bob to read through. Even though they are for 50 to 100 people or more he can get a general idea.

This morning I started in the yard about nine. We had a pretty good freeze last night but since I was using the blower on the leaves that was not a problem. By the time Bonnie arrived at 11am I had a huge pile from the front yard blown onto the driveway. She parked at the top of the drive so we could load those into her truck then she backed down to the end of the drive so we could load what was at the end of the drive and under the tree. An or so later she had a packed down load of loose leaves and the packed mulched leaves and grass where I dumped the lawnmower and vacuum bags.

After lunch I blew another huge pile from one side of the back lawn down to the corner. All the leaves from the red maple on the far side of the yard dropped all at one time. I blew a large pile off the side yard and by the deck underneath the tree to move down to the corner next week. I was too tired to move that pile.

Other than a slight breeze at times and temperatures in the low high 30’s it is really nice outside. Blue skies and lots of sunshine. Kit stuff for Bob this afternoon.
