The physical therapist was here this morning to open my case and take a look at my knee. He had me do a few exercises but Scott will be taking over as my primary PT person. Dr. Howe is one of the few doctors still using the compression hose. The PT guys don’t like them and studies have shown if you are up and moving around on a frequent basis you don’t need them. He suggested I wear them this morning then take them off this afternoon for the rest of the day. I keep my leg up on the ottoman all the time but he wants me to elevate up high this afternoon for a couple of hours.
Yesterday, in addition to walking around the house I went outside and walked up and down the sidewalk to get some fresh air. We are having some very nice, mild weather right now giving me an opportunity to be outside.
