I am reading the latest book in Lorna Barrett’s A Booktown Mystery series Book Clubbed.

The house cleaning chores are completed, bills paid, and accounts balanced. Then out to pick up sticks and mow the lawn. We are in the middle of “green” season with everything coated in yellow green pollen. The oak seeds (helicopters) are falling as all the little buds from the maples before the ones that stayed on the trees sprouted into leaves. All the above now being tracked into the house on our shoes and Colin’s paws and fur.

Speaking of Colin, he came up lame yesterday morning when Bob brought him back in after first time out. The limp varied from slight to severe while, I think, he was favoring his left leg. It’s hard to tell. We tried to discourage hall ball as much as we could yesterday and last night. I gave him an aspirin at bed time and he seems to be fine this morning. This happens periodically so I am thinking he does something to his ankle, paw, or knee when he jumps down from the bed.

It’s another beautiful day outside. Lots of sunshine, hardly any breeze, and mid 70’s. I will work on kit stuff this afternoon and watch the final round of the Masters.
