We did a Sam’s run this morning stopping at Home Depot on the way for me to pick up some bags of top soil and a couple more bedding plants. The mulch along the sidewalk was not working as well as I thought it would for various reasons.
I raked up the mulch onto the sidewalk into small piles and shoveled it into the wheelbarrow to put on the natural area along the front of the house then fill the “alley” along the sidewalk with the top soil. Four bags went almost to the end. I need one more bag and a couple extra to fix a bare spot where we tried to give the cedar from Frances and Al’s yard a home.
After lunch I cleaned up the sidewalk project, mowed, and planted and watered the bedding plants. It’s a nice day, warm, breezy, and a few clouds. The line of storms to our west may or may not make it here later today.
