Today marks out one week anniversary of our official move to the new house. Yesterday I was too tired to go get my tree. This morning after doing a couple of things around here I took off for a tree farm not far from the house. Their web site indicated they had choose and cut plus a craft shop. It was a good five mile drive out in the country. The craft shop was there with a lot of handmade jewelry, jade and onyx carved pieces, and painted glasses and bottles. The guy who owns the farms is not doing choose and cut and is selling the trees off. They were sending folks to another tree farm on the other side of Sparta.  I took off for there but could not find the road to turn onto from hwy. 21. I stopped at a business on 21 to get directions. This farm was way out in the country on the other side of a mountain ridge but I found it. I forgot what it’s like to walk up and down the side of a hill looking for a tree still in the ground as opposed to one in a tree holder standing in a parking lot. Mark, the son of the farm owner, drove myself and another man up the hill in a hay cart. I tromped around and found a tree then sat in the hay cart until the other guy was ready.

The tree is now in the house and ready to decorate. I need to get a shower then run into town and pick up my new grill from the hardware store.
