I’ve had a busy day. I left here about 10:15 in the Trooper to drive to our Friends bookstore manager’s house. From there I followed her to a house in the Air Bellow’s Gap area, not far, to meet another book store member. We hauled about 25 boxes full of books up steep outside stairs made with rock and 4 x 4’s to our cars. They were  donated from the estate of a local artist who died several years ago. Once we had them loaded to drove to the bookstore. After a lunch break at the Mustard Seed down the street, we took turns moving our cars to the front of the store and getting them unloaded to the back storage room. Both of those ladies are well into their middle or late 70’s and did a good job hauling books. We had a hand cart but it harder to pull it up the steps than carrying the boxes. They at least let me do the heavier ones.

Fortunately the weather today has just been cloudy, windy, and cool. So far, the predicted rain has held off.
