I am reading Murder in Morningside Heights by Victoria Thompson.

We had another two inches of rain yesterday and last night. Turns out I was driving home in the middle of a tornado watch and a couple of the counties I was driving through or nearby did get hit.

It’s windy and chilly but clear skies this morning which gave me a chance to get some gardening work done. While in Winston yesterday I picked up a trellis for the Clemantis cutting Al planted out by the mail box last fall from his in Winston. Although way behind his in growth at this point, once we had some warm weather up here it shot up several shoots tall enough to see it was going to make it and needed something to climb on.

I also picked up a four pack of large Gerber daisies to go along the front porch and six sweet potato plants for the garden. Even with the 4 inches of rain we’ve had in the last few days Al made the rows high enough with walking space in between that I was able to get in there this morning to plant and pull a few big weeds along the sides of the rows and in the walking spaces. I put the citronella plant in a bigger pot and filled the bird feeders. Kit stuff this afternoon.
