I went down to see Bob this afternoon. For all you guys that read both pages, I will update here and on Bob’s page in the morning.
The doctor did remove the right side chest tube while I was there. The left lung still had fluid. His secretions are not to the point yet where they feel comfortable removing the large trach. Otherwise, things are pretty much the same. I stayed a couple of hours then left so he could rest. The RT was there to give him a breathing treatment and take a culture of the stuff in his lungs.
Colin I will spend the afternoon watching silly Christmas movies and working the Sunday crossword.
Barbara, thank you so very much for keeping us up with Bob’s progress. Next year at this time you will both have a little more to be thankful for.
