We had at close to 4 inches of rain when I checked the electronic rain gauge at 10:30 last night. It rained all day, heavy at times, with 50 mph winds. If it pours down real hard the electronic gauge can’t keep up with an accurate reading. Once the below freezing temperatures are gone I will put out the plastic rain gauge.

Fortunately for us, we had mostly heavy down pours with 50 mph winds and very little thunder and lightening. Colin did okay though he was in my lap a lot when the thunder popped too close or during the heavy downpours.

During the night it poured down off and on for several more hours taking us over 4 inch mark. I did not see any damage this morning around here or on the way to the gym.

Today is partly to mostly cloudy with temperatures only in the high 30’s, 50 to 60 mph wind gusts, and snow flurries.
