Sunday

Busy day. I did the weekly house cleaning including helping Bob move half a warehouse of kit stuff from the middle of my living room to the downstairs that had been sitting there for a couple of months.

After I finished up with the cleaning I left for the folks house. Mom, dad, Frances, and I  went to Firehouse Subs for lunch. Back at their house I spent an hour or so pulling weeds from the bank behind the shed before planting a some prime rose and phlox. This was the first time on the hill since my surgery. It is a fairly steep hill where have been planing various types of plants to give them some color all year long. I used to have a terrible time walking around but had no trouble today.

After the farming, as Bob calls it, we unwrapped a very large picture sent to my dad by my cousin that came from dad’s brother and sister-in-law’s estate. My aunt had actually promised it to me through him since I have the furniture that belong to my Nana. It is a picture of my Nana at roughly 12 years old. At this point I am not sure who else is in the picture. I need to do some digging. My uncle died a couple of years ago and my aunt last year.

All that activity has taken up most of the day. I had to stop at the gas station on the way home to fill up the gas can. It was almost empty and I wanted to get gas while it was only $3.72 a gallon.

We had a fairly decent storm role through yesterday afternoon bringing close to an inch of rain. Today was been mostly cloudy and only 63 degrees but with the 80% humidity I was still sweating in my shorts and t-shirt. It did drizzled off and on a couple of times.
