A big happy birthday to my dad today who turned 90 years old. For his age he is in fairly good shape both physically and mentally. The volunteer office at the hospital gave him a birthday lunch today. Frances and I were both invited to attend but Frances could not get away during the middle of the day. I left work at 10:45 to go pick them up. It was a very nice spread with fried chicken, ham, and lots of sides from green beans to deviled eggs. They had a birthday cake and some other desserts. We left there a little after one to take them back home and I went back to work.
I left work at 5 and went back to pick them up. We met Frances at Carriage House, one of the many nice Greek restaurants we have in town and one of my dad’s favorite places to eat. Since we ate such a big lunch I just ate a salad and about 1/3 of a piece of chocolate cake and brought the rest of it home for Bob.
We are having a big 90th birthday party on Sunday. I will post some pictures next week from that.
