I worked through lunch and left at 3pm to come home to pack and do a few things to get ready for my beach trip. Marcy is picking me up around 5 to meet Nancy for dinner at Salem Tavern. I wanted to get my chores and packing done before I left to go out.
In the morning I will leave about the same time I usually leave for work to go over to pick up the folks. Hopefully we will be on the road by 9am. It’s about a four hour drive but we make an early lunch stop a little over half way. We will be home Sunday instead of staying until Monday. I don’t have that much vacation left until the end of the year. Plus, it is supposed to rain down there Sunday with tropical storm Sandy is lurking out in the ocean. It is not expected to make landfall on the east coast but it could skirt close enough to make Sunday and Monday miserable down there.
