[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

It was back to work for me. I walked Malcolm for a second time and left Bob in his office working. I fixed him an ice bucket full of ice along side a 2 liter bottle of coke so he would not have to try to do refills during the day. I talked to him a couple of times during the day. He had let Malcolm out several times to pee. Our neighbor came over when she got off work at 3 to take Malcolm on a walk down the street.

I am still busy as heck at work but found enough energy for a workout at the gym. Bob came along on Malcolm's after dinner walk down the street and back. He did pretty well holding on to my shoulder. He is still a little unsteady without support. He walks around the house carrying the walker but has it to catch himself in case he looses his balance.

We are watching more of Deadwood, something like the last two episodes of season two. I get the seasons and episodes all confused on these series we watch.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

I had dinner plans for tonight with my sister and friend Marcy. Tim called Bob yesterday morning to let him know he had the part and asked if I could bring the car out Wednesday. Frances works down the street and Marcy lives out past us on the way to Tim's. Marcy drove out to pick me up then we headed back this way to meet Frances at the Mexican restaurant we eat at with Paul and Mary. Frances dropped me off on her way home.

When I got home Bob came along with me to take the white Trooper on a quick spin around the neighborhood to make sure the battery was charged for me to drive it to work tomorrow.

This morning before I left for work I made him a couple of sandwiches for his dinner tonight. He is walking around the house pretty good but still needs to walker to catch himself. Our neighbor came up again this afternoon to give Malcolm a walk down the street.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

Not only did the Trooper have a cracked axle boot on both sides they also had to replace the ball joints and he put on new break pads. All in all we are good shape for hopefully another 30 to 50 thousand miles. Tim suggested next spring we replace the shocks.

I left work early to get home in time for Marcy to pick me up for a ride back out to pick the car up. I changed into gym cloths so I could go straight there from Tim's.

Bob was able to help with the loading of the dish washer tonight. He has been letting Malcolm out loose during the day to pee. He is really go about coming right back in but today he would not come back when Bob called him. That is usually a sign of needing to potty, which he did, across the street in the neighbor's bushes. Bob and his walker took off across the street to clean it up. I told him he could have waited and I would have got it when I got home.

We have cloudy, drizzly weather but not substantial rainfall. The front yard is literally carpeted with leaves. I still see a lot of seed on the ground. It would nice to get a good wind to blow some of the leaves around if we do get any rain before the weekend.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

The forecast for tomorrow through Saturday goes from 30% to 50% chance of rain/thunderstorms. When I got home from work I blew the leaves from the the front yard to the curb to keep them from getting packed down into the grass if it does rain. The yard is looking really good with a lot of new grass coming up. There is still too much seed on the ground to mow or use the lawn vacuum. I blew the driveway leaves down to the back natural area just because they had gotten so thick. Driving over them will pack them down and make them hard to get up especially when they get wet. In the back I only had leaves down in one section under the silver maple. I blew those into the natural area along the deck and under red bud tree in the middle of the yard.

We have been watching Castle and the beginning of the last season of Deadwood. I love Nathan Fillion! I am surprised at how good Castle is being that it is a network tv show.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

Whew. End of a very busy week. I think I have my data base project under control at last. I am not a big fan of Access but we have very good IT folks working behind the scenes helping me.

It is a gray, drizzly day. Glad I got my leaves off the lawn. Once again Bob sat down stairs doing the laundry while I did the cleaning then I caught up on my ironing. He is better but still not 100%. He has been able to take Malcolm out in the front yard using his walker.

Indoor projects today.

[Last Week] [Monday] [Tuesday] [Wednesday] [Thursday] [Friday] [Saturday] [Sunday] [Next Week]

We had an inch of rain, most of which fell last yesterday afternoon and last night. This morning after the fog burned off it turned into a beautiful fall day with cool temperatures and a nice breeze.

I went over to the folks house to trim his bushes and do a few things in the yard. It was wet and muddy, since they had his yard plugged last week, but it made pulling weeds much easier.

By the time I got back home the grass was dry enough to mow along with a lot of leaves that had fallen with the rain.

I am reading the first book in yet another J.A. Jance series, Ali Reynolds, a divorced, ex-tv newscaster in CA who returns to her hometown of Sedona, Arizona where her parents run a hometown cafe.  This is the fourth of her series I have read. I still like Beaumont the best, but they are all good.
