Another really busy work day. I left at 2:30 to go to the hospital to see how dad was doing. I had called him this morning when I got to work. He was still wheezing and short of breath when he talked. He mentioned something about going home today. Since I did not get a call from the hospital saying he was being discharged I did not call the nurse to tell them I did not think he was ready to go home.<\/p>\n
This afternoon he was much better. They had him up walking earlier and had given him a couple of breathing treatments. He was talking without getting out of breath but was not able to walk very far. Not surprising as he is pretty weak and still coughing a lot. I stayed awhile to visit and talk with the nurses. The doctor came by to check on his side and back pain.\u00a0He has\u00a0pleurisy from the\u00a0pneumonia which is a very common side effect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
