We spent a couple of hours shopping at a very neat Emporium in an old sawmill near the railroad station. From there we went downtown to look around until time to go to <a title=\"La Cava\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lacavarestaurant.com\/\">La Cava<\/a> for dinner. This very good Italian restaurant is in an old church. By far the best Italian food I have eat.<\/p>\n<p>It was hot walking around, close to 95 degrees but not humid. I will take that any day of the week over cool and humid like it is today, 86 with 62% humidity. Late last night we had a short thunderstorm bringing half an inch of rain.<\/p>\n<p>This morning was the usual house cleaning stuff then I had Colin out to play some ball, cleaned off my desk, paid some bills, and other assorted chores.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday afternoon Frances, Marcy, and I went to Salisbury, NC, about an hour and half from Winston.
