Errands to run this morning which did not take very long. Bob and I emptied the 50 lb bag of sugar into the plastic 2.5 pound jars we buy various nuts in from Costco.<\/p>\n
I then headed outside to finish digging out the cedar tree Al transplanted in the summer from their house. I had whacked it down to about a foot high and had the hold dug out around the roots but that is as far as I had gotten a couple of months ago. After much digging and chopping it was loose but still rooted somewhere down in the hole. I had Bob come out and stand on it while I chopped but no joy. Finally I brought out the loppers and kept cutting underneath until it was freed. Then I had to fill in the hole and put seed, fertilizer, and straw on the bare spot.<\/p>\n
Bonnie was supposed to come sometime after one to get the leaves I’ve dumped under the tree by the driveway for her garden. I did a few things in here while waiting on her then went back out to do a few more little jobs in the back. But, she called around 2:30 to let me know she could not come.<\/p>\n
Bob is washing the curtains I have hanging on the front, small bedroom, and bathroom windows.\u00a0 I am now waiting on those to dry so I can put them back up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
