I spent yesterday working on kit projects and doing the fasting prep for my colonoscopy scheduled for 9am this morning. I had one ten years ago and things went fine.<\/p>\n
This one not so great. For one thing the cleansing procedure has changed requiring me to drink about a gallon of this foul tasting medicine. I was to drink 3 liters starting at 6 last night. I finally finished that about midnight sitting up in the den reading. I came to bed about 1am and slept off and on until my 4am alarm went off at which time I had to get back up and finish the remaining one liter by six am after which I could have nothing to drink. I dozed of and on until a little before getting up at 8 to get ready to go to the hospital.<\/p>\n
The procedure itself did not go well. My oxygen levels dropped and I started coughing before the doctor could finish. They woke me up upon which I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia along with a stuffy nose and a bad cough. I now have to reschedule to have the entire procedure repeated down in Winston rather than up here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
