When Bonnie and I met for dinner Wednesday, she brought me some day lilies from her yard.

We have a large stump at the back right corner of the yard about 4 to 5 feet tall and a several feet in diameter. I cleaned up debris and rotted wood around the stump and planted the lilies there. While I was out there I started working on that corner of the yard. It’s a tangled mess of small trees and brush along with some limbs and rotted wood dumped back in there. I did not have time last year to tackle that mess. With all of it dormant right now, it’s a good time to start cleaning that out. I pulled out the worst of the brush and cut and/or sawed off a lot of the trees that were growing out sideways instead of up. I took three wheel barrow loads over to the other side yard where I put my brush piles. James came Wednesday to haul off what I piled up so far which included my Christmas tree so I could start a new brush pile. I have more work to do in that corner but it is starting to look better.

While it’s sunny and 52 outside it’s windy. For some reason working in the wind wears me out. I took a break to fix lunch then went back out for another half hour before calling it a day. After my shower I went up visit neighbor Bonnie to see how she was doing.

Gym and store this morning.
