The local paper ran an article last Wednesday about a company requesting to build an assisted living\/memory care facility across highway 21 from our house. The 20 acres is currently being used as a cow pasture. Last night the Planning Board held their Monday night meeting during which time they would vote on the request. I dropped Bob off at his ham radio class at 5:45 then went on to the meeting to hear more. Representatives from the builders and the facility where there to answer questions.<\/p>\n
From the drawings and layout of the one story building I doubt very much it will have any effect on us. It will be a welcome addition to the tax base and local jobs plus give the elderly residents who have retired here other options when they can no longer live at home.<\/p>\n
I am putting together small parts bags this morning. This afternoon I have my shift at the Friends bookstore.<\/p>\n
