I went to the gym this morning then left for Winston around 11. I met Bonnie for lunch before going to my afternoon yearly mammogram and GYN appointment. I had already cancelled it once Thursday a week ago not only because of Bob possibly having surgery and did not but also because my doctor died suddenly the previous Friday from a stroke after open heart surgery.<\/p>\n
When I checked on Bob by phone this morning at my usual 8 am he was still asleep after having a pretty bad night. He was very confused and agitated. The nurse said this behavior is very common in patients on the pump and can mimic the same symptoms of a stroke.<\/p>\n
She did tell me they may take the pump out this afternoon and when I checked on him right before my doctor appointment they were getting ready to take him back to the OR. It was a simple procedure and doctor Lee called me at 3pm just as I was getting to the hospital lobby area to tell me he was back in ICU. I saw him briefly, he was still groggy from the procedure, then left to come back home.<\/p>\n
We seem to be moving in the right direction. If all goes well they may move him to a regular room either tomorrow or Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
