I had a good trip down to Winston yesterday. I ran several errands before getting to Frances and Al’s. At 5pm Frances and I left in separate cars to meet Bonnie for dinner at Mid Town Cafe. From there Frances went home and I followed Bonnie to Reynold’s Auditorium for the Winston-Salem symphony Plugged-In- Pops program featuring the Steep Canyon Ranger; an excellent group of musicians from North Carolina. They put on a fabulous show.<\/p>\n
I headed back up the mountain about 9:15 this morning. Al left about 11:30. After 2 1\/2 months of stress and grief dealing with Bob’s illness and death it was good for me to escape reality for a couple of hours and enjoy myself.<\/p>\n
Thankfully it has been warm this weekend. We’ve had 2 inches of rain in Sparta with another inch to fall today. I am sure Winston has had at least an inch plus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
