Remnants of hurricane Helene have been blowing through the mountains starting yesterday with 9 inches of rain by midnight last night.<\/p>\n
Starting early this morning the main system starting working its way through here with more rain and 60 to 70 mph wind gusts. I’ve had another 5 inches of rain since midnight so far.<\/p>\n
Thankfully, no trees down in my yard but I have a yard full of pine tree limbs and debris to clean up. There is a row of pine trees across the street on the hill where the gas station is. One of those blew down as I was looking out the window. No flooding issues as I live on top of a ridge.<\/p>\n
Most of the rain has blown through but we still have a lot of high wind gusts that will be around until early this evening.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
