I am slowly making progress on getting my major outdoor projects finished. I still have a couple of things left on my “to do” list. Once those are complete I should have the outdoors in “maintenance” mode for the summer; mowing, edging, and occasional cleanup of sticks and debris if we have a storm.

This morning I scraped the paint from the back door and finished cleaning up that project before starting on the yard. I used the hand shears to cut the tall shoots from the front bushes instead of using the gas trimmer. I have to wait until I start mulching the yard to do the big trim so I can put it in the yard cart I swept up the maple seeds from the roof clearing and the trimmings, swept the driveway, and mowed the lawn. Then I spread the four bags of mulch in the front beds just by the porch area. The mulch along the rest of the front of the house looks fine. As soon as the sun gets to the back side of the house I will water the bedding plants.

Bob has kit projects for me this afternoon while I watch the golf match.
