Gym and errands this morning. Bob is working on taxes. The weather today is nice, mid 50’s, mostly sunny, and not too windy. It was a nice day for an outside project. I dug up the section of grass along the side stoop for another flower garden. From where I had planted the white quince  at the corner, about two feet out from the stoop, I dug back to the stoop and along the side out to the drive. It’s about four feet long.

I hauled the grass down to the back where I filled in a couple of big ruts from where we had driven the cars and truck around back this winter. The rest I used to fill in the edges of the big area in the back where they dug for the septic tank.

On each run back I brought up a few of the slate rock that is piled in the natural area along the yard. I am piling it under the deck where it was supposed to be cemented in but the previous owners did not finished the project. Most of the pile is buried under leaves and pine straw so I have no idea how much is back there.

All in all it took me about an hour and half taking. By the time I finished the wind was picking up supposedly bringing in ran for tonight and tomorrow.
