I am catching up on inside and outside chores today after being in and out most of the week. I washed and dried the sheets while I remade the bed and did some general house straightening then headed outside.

It was cloudy with some low fog this morning. I am reworking part of the butterfly garden. The seeds NC Wildlife sent me were mostly a white yarrow and some type of high growing yellow flowered plant. The yarrow blooms for a short time then turns brown. I am digging all that up to replace it with something more to my liking.I finished digging up most of it before it started to rain which lasted all of ten minutes. I put in a load of clothes while I ate lunch. While they were drying I went into town to pick up a few groceries. I worked some more on the flower bed and played some ball with Colin until the clothes finished. I still have to pull grass from the mulch beds along the driveway.

After several unsuccessful attempts with various homemade contraptions I have finally given up trying to keep the raccoon out of the handing bird feeder.  Instead, last night I took it down and put it in the garage and hung it back up this morning. That is the new plan.
