We made a quick run out to Home Depot this morning to get boards and brackets for Bob to build shelving in the kit room and to pick up a new blind for the front bedroom window.

I had Bob get the leaves that accumulate in the valleys on the roof. He usually can get them from atop the ladder but there were so many this year he had to go up and rake/sweep them off. Once he finished I fired up the lawn vacuum. Once I finished the front, driveway, and side yard I took a break before I started on the back.

Other than blowing the leaves off the yard onto the natural area and under the deck I have not touched the leaves in the back for almost a month. I soon realized I had an overwhelming task of getting them moved. They were too deep to blow and way too deep to even vacuum had I been able to get moved onto the lawn.

Bob hates yard work but he will come out to help if I need him. He does not mind blowing leaves so while he used the blower I plowed them down the hill to the corner with the big rake. Had he not helped me it would have taken forever just to get those moved. We finished up just in time for me to leave to go over to the house.

I was meeting the moving people that moved mom and dad to Creekside. They came to pick up the furniture we did not want to give to people that need furniture. While I was there I grabbed some more stuff I was bringing home.

I had intended when I got back home to run the vacuum over the entire back yard and blow the leaves off the little natural area in the middle of the yard. But I was too tired by the time I got back. I can finish up tomorrow.
