Yesterday afternoon Frances, Marcy, and I went to Salisbury, NC, about an hour and half from Winston. We spent a couple of hours shopping at a very neat Emporium in an old sawmill near the railroad station. From there we went downtown to look around until time to go to La Cava for dinner. This very good Italian restaurant is in an old church. By far the best Italian food I have eat.
It was hot walking around, close to 95 degrees but not humid. I will take that any day of the week over cool and humid like it is today, 86 with 62% humidity. Late last night we had a short thunderstorm bringing half an inch of rain.
This morning was the usual house cleaning stuff then I had Colin out to play some ball, cleaned off my desk, paid some bills, and other assorted chores.
