Happy Friday

and happy birthday to Colin who turns six months old today. Right now he’s a big goofy puppy weighing in, I am sure, at 50 pounds. We’ll try to get some pictures this weekend.

He has not learned about us sitting down to eat dinner yet. We eat sitting on the sofa with our This End Up tables up. Being a very active puppy who is so excited that I am home, I try to play with him while I eat. If he leaves the purple ball, his indoor ball, close enough I can get it with the gripper, I toss it for him. As soon I finish eating I put my table down and play with him. He also knows when we finish dinner and he gets his food that we go outside to play.

Tonight, while we were eating it started raining but we did not know it because we had the den curtains pulled. When I took the plates in to the kitchen I was surprised to look at to see it pouring. You try to convince a puppy that it’s pouring down rain and we cannot go outside to play. I had to open the door and let him out on the porch. He got to the step, saw it was raining, looked at me, and came back in the house.

It’s been a long, tough week. We had to get a weeklong project finished today…which we did.

I am reading a new Susan Wittig Albert mystery in her China Bayles series, Mourning Glory. By the way, I really enjoyed the Grace and Favor and will be requesting the next one in the series.
