I went down to hospice late yesterday afternoon. Mom, Frances, and Al were there. Dad seemed to restless and in pain so we asked them to give him some pain medication. We then left to go eat some dinner. When we got back Marcy was there. Dad was about the same or perhaps a little worse. Al went on home then later on I had Frances take mom home. Marcy and I visited while we sat with dad. Again, I was not sure if I should leave based on how he was doing. Finally the nurse came in to check is respiration and pulse. She was pretty certain he was stable so we left about 10:45. I did not have a very good night’s sleep thinking the phone would ring at any time.

Back to work this morning. Things were piled up after being off last week. And, first thing this morning I had an hour and half training session on a new paperless software system we are going to along with an upgrade to a new version of Outlook. While we were in training the engineers upgrade our PC’s to the new software. So, not only was I a week behind in my work I had to deal with a new document system and mail package to go along with my sleep deprived brain.

I had a hair cut appointment after work then came home. No hospice visit this evening. I just spoke with Frances. They had stopped by earlier to see how he was doing; he was resting comfortably.
