Weekly house cleaning chores this morning then I balanced the checkbooks and paid some bills. I was in the shower when Creekside called. Mom has not been doing well since the first of the year. Frances and I felt like it was post holiday let-down but she continued to get worse mentally and physically. I finally called Dr. Jones, her doctor for her bipolar condition, and who saw her on Wednesday. He was not overly concerned but added an additional med to see help her snap out of it. She was actually doing pretty good Friday night when Frances had her out for dinner but this morning was not doing well and pulled the cord. They said she was shaky so they gave her a Boost and put her to bed. I told them I would be over. I called Frances and we decided she could just sleep and she would go over later.
In the meantime Frances talked to Debbie, a caregiver that has several patients at Creekside. She was over there and said she would look in on mom. I was still worried about her so I took off around 12:15 to go over and check on her. She was eating some lunch. I told Debbie I would stay with her. As soon as she finished eating she wanted to lay down and she went to sleep. I sat with her until Frances arrived at 4pm. She is spending the night at her house and will get her to her regular Dr. tomorrow to make sure she does not have a UTI or a lung infection again.
