Frances, Al, and I along with mom and her caregiver had a meeting this morning with her family doctor. As we already knew, there is not much we can do for mom except keep her as happy and comfortable as possible. Thankfully Creekside is letting her continue to live there with her 24/7 care. Palliative care is going to be coming in periodically to check on mom. She still gets around pretty good with her rolling walker and is eating and drinking pretty good. Her hemoglobin is low so Frances is going to get her an iron supplement she can chew and start her on a recommended protein supplement she ordered for us from the drugstore. We signed a DNR and obviously once she really starts to fail we will move her to hospice. Hopefully that will be further down the road.
