I am reading a new author on my Kindle Veryl Ann Grace. She currently has two books out in her Flock and Fiber mystery series set in Black Hills, Washington. Murder Spins a Tale introduces us to recently widowed Martha Williamson, owner of a spinning and weaving shop the Spider’s Web, on her small farm. Her two Great Pyrenees serve as pets and protectors of the small flock of sheep and alpacas she raises. I love interaction between her and her dogs and the development of her spinning friends who all come together to help her solve the murder of the town doctor. And, I am learning about the hobby spinning and weaving along the way.

Along with the usual house cleaning chores to be completed I also caught up on my ironing and a lot of paperwork as well as bill paying, etc. I think we had enough rain from the off and on rain showers yesterday to make the bedding plants happy at least until the middle of the week. Lots of sunshine today but cooler temperatures and breezy.
