An exciting first day back to work. With snow in the forecast starting this afternoon I drove the trusty Trooper. My co-workers were glad to see me. I had been checking my e-mails from work while I was out to delete the junk. Things that would need my attention I moved to a folder I had set up. This prevented me from having 1000 e-mails to plow through.

I spent the morning handling the “hot stuff”. I had a 5:00 haircut appointment but after calling and talking things over with Pam, we decided to move it to Wednesday. About 3:40 the snow just started pouring all of a sudden. Most everyone on our floor had left or was in the process of leaving at 4pm when I did. I was not too worried about the sidewalks. Our building and the one I walk around to get the deck keeps the sidewalks heavily salted which was the case when I headed out. The streets had become snow covered in some areas and were slick in other spots with more ice than snow. With today being a federal holiday the traffic was not too bad. I made it home in a little over 25 minuets vs. 15 to 20.

The new forecast is now calling for us to get snow and then changing to sleet and freezing rain on top of that. BLAH!
