Well, this moving stuff is a lot of work and wear and tear on the body and the nerves. We were up Friday morning desperately trying to pack as much stuff as possible before the movers arrived. We were still packing up the kitchen and moving stuff of bookshelves when they arrived at 9am. While they loaded furniture upstairs we worked in other parts of the house. They moved another truck down to the back to get the stuff in the basement area. They left about 12:30pm and we left about one with both cars loaded to the max with stuff to bring up no in boxes. Bob had his PC and another load of science kits.

We arrived in Sparta about 2:30 and started unpacking cars. The movers showed up at 3:00 and started unloading. Bob was downstairs and I was up here directing where stuff goes. We had hand to hand walkie talkies that we use when we drive up in separate cars to talk. They left at 6, I drove into Sparta for some takeout then we collapsed once again. We had to sleep on the mattress on the floor because the movers could not put the new bed together since it was not assembled for the move.

Frances and Al went by our house in W-S to pick up some more stuff for us then came up here and spent the day. Al has completed a laundry list of household projects between last Saturday and today including putting up my bird feeder and our postal box, putting together the bed, installing the dryer connector, hauling stuff up from Winston, etc. Frances helped me get the kitchen and other rooms set up and organized.

We are all exhausted but happy to be in our new house.
