I met with Alice this morning at the Friends of Library bookstore located in downtown Sparta. Alice oversees the running of the store. She showed me around and I helped sort a few books. For right now I will just be helping out with shelving and sorting until they need someone to fill a full time slot.
After lunch we drove over to Jefferson to go to Lowe’s Home Improvement. I picked up four small Firepower Nandinas to go in the bed along the front porch and planted them when we got back home. That makes a good start until I see what I want to fill in with seasonal flowers. Now I need to get a load of mulch in the bed.
James is mowing the lawn. We are having another nice day. Temperatures in the mid 60’s and mostly sunny. Hopefully the rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow will come in. Things are getting dry.
