I had surgery yesterday in Winston. We left at 4am to get to Baptist Hospital for my 5:45 check in. I was in the back getting prepped for the procedure when a volunteer came back to let me Frances and Al were also there. All went well. Once I was in my room I sent Bob home to take care of Colin and ship kits this morning that needed to go out.

Frances let for work once I was recovery but Al stayed part of the afternoon. He came back last night and sat with me until Frances got off from work to come by for a visit. I called Bob to let him know I ate a good dinner and was feeling fine.

This morning I was finally discharged around 10:30. Al was there to bring me home. We arrived here about 11:45. No restrictions, just take it easy for a couple of days.

It’s funny, Colin was looking out the window when we arrived and he just stood there looking at me. I think he was trying to figure out why I got out of the truck instead of Frances.

I picked some beans and zucchini for him take home while he picked a bag full of apples.
