Well, yesterday I forgot to post. I drove down to Elkin about 10:30 to meet Frances, Al, and Marcy for lunch at the cute little bistro Frances and Al discovered. We had a nice lunch then I drove back up the mountain. I guess I was thinking I had posted before I left until about 10pm last night when it dawned on me I had not. Oh well!
Frances and Al came up this morning. Al tilled the garden then we planted carrots, green beans, yellow and zucchini squash, peas, turnips, and tomatoes all in seeds. We also planted three cantaloupe plants and some white potatoes. I have some red potatoes but then need to grow eyes before I can plant them. I also planted some spearmint and peppermint plants down by the outdoor AC unit to hopefully discourage the mice from going in the unit.
The day has been everything from cloudy, to partly cloudy, to sunny with a breeze and mild temperatures.
