I am working on kit stuff this morning. I have Friends bookstore this afternoon.
I picked my first batch of lettuce this morning. With only a few plants it’s enough for a salad for my lunch. I picked from the Green Salad Bowl plants which are doing really well. The Black Simpson, which is also a leaf lettuce, is not doing as well but I do have some small leaves on several of the plants. Since lettuce does not like hot weather I will wait until late summer into fall to plant more.
The other veggies and herbs are not doing too well on the deck but the garden is doing great. I need to thin the turnips soon and we have peas, beans, and potatoes coming up.
