I am reading Flash by Donna Ball.

Chore day today. I started a load of clothes washing while I changed the linens on the bed and read the paper. Once I had the clothes in the dryer Colin and I went outside to enjoy another beautiful day in the mountains. Low temperatures, mostly sunny, a slight breeze, and low humidity.

I spray painted the bird feeder then put another coat on the door frame and door. By the time I finished those two jobs it was time to come in for a water break, fold the clothes and fix an early lunch. After lunch I put the sheets in to wash then went out and put another spray coat on the feeder before heading to the garden.

The grass was trying to take over along the edges and in some places in the garden. I wanted to get it somewhat under control until Al has time to come up and till. I was going to pull the zucchini plants but I harvested one off of each plant and there are still a couple on there growing. I picked three tomatoes and took those and the zucchini over to Vicki.

Colin had a good time running around and keeping an eye on me while I worked. I finished in the garden and did one side of the driveway mulch. Even though it’s a nice, cool day I still get hot, sweaty, and nasty. I cleaned up the painting mess and emptied the wheel barrow before closing up everything to come in for a shower. We’ll spend some more time this afternoon outside enjoying the nice weather
