Sunny and breezy today with highs in the mid to upper 40’s. A nice day after the last few weeks of cold and blustery.

I was not busy at the store despite the nice weather. We had a few customers in the afternoon and one lady who came in just before closing. If we have customers in the store we stay open until they are ready to leave. Her purchases at least got us almost halfway to $100.00.

Sunshine and warm temperatures today with highs in the upper 30’s and calm winds. There is still a lot of snow lying around but we are starting to thaw out.

I went to the gym this morning. This afternoon I finally made it to Donna’s for crafting. It was just the three of us but so glad to get back into our routine.

Well, for the third Saturday in a row the store will be closed. This time, due to 30 mph winds with 60 mph gusts and wind chills down into the minus teens. High’s in the mid teens but lots of sunshine.

We had another couple of inches of snow Thursday morning. Yesterday afternoon we had snow showers and blustery conditions so we closed a little early in the afternoon just in case things became slippery and the winds were starting to pick up.

A gray, chilly day with highs in the mid 30’s and calm winds. This afternoon we had off and on rain and show showers but so far no accumulation. It is supposed to get down into the teen tonight so things will be icy again in the morning.

We had a good day at the store considering. Some folks are still digging out from the weekend storm. Sales were sporadic but we did okay.

Today we finally made it into the low 30’s for a high temperature. We had sunny skies this morning but clouds have moved in this afternoon. We could get a mix of snow and rain tonight into tomorrow but hopefully not any additional accumulation.

I had 8 inches here with most of the snow fall ending late Saturday night. The gusty winds blew most of that off the driveway except for the 12 or so inches that accumulated in front of the garage doors. Yesterday I shoveled a path behind my door and one at the end of the driveway from the piles created by the plowing. Today I shoved about three feet that had blow onto the front porch.

Main roads are mostly clear but side roads, etc. are still covered. So, another day at home. Perhaps things will start melting out tomorrow.

The highest temperature for the past two weeks has been 26 degrees. We’ve had snow with a significant ice event to follow that still have some folks iced in. As of right now we are at 16 degrees with at least 5 inches of snow and still falling. Behind this front will be a wind event with 40 plus mph winds and chill factors in the minus 0’s.

Joyce did open the store Thursday with a few customers and Pat and I had a few yesterday. The snow plow has been down my road once already. I am sure once Colt can get out he will come and dig out my driveway again.

We are still in a deep freeze so to speak. Temperatures at night in the single digits and teens to mid 20’s for daytime highs. The ice that feel on top of the inches of snow has a lot folks still iced in if they live on private roads or have iced over driveways. This stuff will not be going away anytime soon.

Almost all the main and side roads are clear and dry thanks to a wonderful job by the DOT and county. The town however did not touch the sidewalks so they are a mess as are private parking lots.

We did open the store today but just a couple of customers and no sales. But, we had a small donation plus did some store stuff that needed doing. We also wanted to check on the store to make sure we did not have any frozen pipes or leaks which we did not.

Overall I had about 2 inches of snow. My lawn guy came yesterday and plowed the driveway. However, after the snow we had some sleet and freezing rain. Today temperatures will be in the low 20’s and dropping down into low single digits by tonight with wind chills from 0 degrees to minus 14 or worse.

Thankfully the trees did not ice up so there will be less chance of power outages. While the county does a great job on the roads things are sill icy and messy especially side roads and parking lots. Other than essential business most everyone else is shut down.

So, I am “iced in” so to speak. I have plenty of food and water in bottles if we loose power.

Cold and blustery with temperatures in the mid 20’s and falling. We are supposedly getting some sort of winter weather starting this afternoon through Sunday. A massive winter storm is moving through the country. Not sure if we will snow, sleet, freezing rain, or all of the above or in what amounts.

We had a few customers this morning but since midday it was nothing. We finally decided to close up at 3:00. Yesterday we had a good day with folks coming in to stock up for the winter event.

Sunny but gusty winds and temperatures in the upper 30’s made the feels like down into the 20’s

We had a good day at the store. Did not make $100.00 but came close with several good sales. We had a number of big donations come in that I had to work on so I was busy for most of the day.
