Sunny, breezy, and warm with highs in the upper 70’s.
Two nights ago we had a bad fire in downtown Sparta. Fortunately the fire walls prevented the fire from spreading and burning down the whole block. Instead it was contained to three store fronts and the apartments above and one behind those buildings.
Several people were displaced but fortunately no one was hurt. Fire departments from our county plus surrounding counties and in VA answered the call.
So, bottom line we could not open the store today because they still have our block on Main street closed off to traffic and pedestrians. But, Joyce and I made it a work day at the store getting a lot of things done. Not sure when we will be able to open back up.
