Very busy as usual at work. Things have not slacked off much in the last few weeks and do not look like they will anytime soon.
Bob called me this afternoon to tell me mom called to tell me she was going home and for me to come get her. It is common for the elderly to get their days mixed up when they have been in the hospital. Mom has been in there over two weeks now. I guess she thought it was a weekend day. But, I had not had a call from the doctor or the hospital so I was suspicious. And, since they do not have phones in their rooms I have no idea how she called.
I called the hospital to find out the nurse and home heath hospital person were in fact telling mom she would go home tomorrow. Hum! Thanks for the warning mom since we need to get some assistance of both medical and non-medical set up. I sent Frances a quick e-mail to call me on her break to let her know what was going on. Between the two of us we managed to kick start home assistance. Health care is not a problem. The same nurse that handles dad will handle mom.
I am off to dad sit tonight.
