I am reading another Bill Slider, Kill My Darling by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles.

This morning I ironed and did the weekly house cleaning chores,. I have some paper work do take care of this afternoon and tape bottles for Bob. It is sunny but really cold and windy today.

Frances and I have ended the baby sitting duties at Creekside. While mom does have some mental issues we think she is playing us so we will be there all the time. She fears something will happen to dad or her and we will not be there if it does. Dad wants us there to deal with mom so he won’t have to. For the past year we have done more to take care of and handle the medical issues for my folks than some parents children will in a lifetime; if ever. They have been told they either make it on their own living at Creekside or we move them to an assisted living facility. We can get some assistance if necessary for them to continue to live there but the staying all night, covering weekdays; and all our weekends is over. We just can’t do it any more. And, it is not fair to Bob and Al. So, we will see what happens over the next few weeks.
